By using MyPengs, you agree to these Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the site or buy Shinies.

MyPengs is an independent parody personality and entertainment experience. Quiz results, reports, your Pengprint, chemistry features, the Diary, Penguin World and its Scenes, roasts, and recommendations are for fun and self-reflection only.

MyPengs, including anything Sammy or another character says, is not medical, mental health, legal, financial, hiring, relationship, or professional advice. MyPengs is not affiliated with The Myers-Briggs Company, MBTI, or any official assessment provider.

In the Diary you talk with your own penguin, and in Penguin World you can make Scenes, short stories your characters act out. In the Diary and in Scenes, your penguin and every other character are AI characters, not people, and what they say there is written by AI through our AI provider. Some characters in Penguin World can also chat with you live, and AI writes what they say there too.

The Diary is not a crisis service and does not replace professional care. If something you type in the Diary, for a Scene, or to a character you chat with live reads like someone may be thinking about suicide or self-harm, we show you how to reach crisis support instead of answering, sending it on or making the Scene. Our Safety Protocol at mypengs.com/safety explains how this works.

Companion chatbots like the Diary may not be suitable for some minors.

We may limit how many messages or Scenes you can have in a day, decline to make a Scene, or pause the Diary, Scenes or live chat, for example for safety or to keep their cost in check. If a Scene you paid Shinies for is not made, those Shinies are given back.

You must be at least 13 years old to use MyPengs. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use MyPengs only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.

You are responsible for information you submit, activity under your account, and keeping your login information secure. Contact hello@mypengs.com if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

You can delete your account at any time in Account settings. Deleting it is permanent and cannot be undone. It deletes your peng, your friends list and your chemistry reads, removes you from your friends' colonies, and deletes your Penguin World (your home, bonds and Scenes), any Shinies on it, earned or bought, and your reports. Shinies are not refunded.

Your friends keep their own worlds, so your penguin stays in a friend's world as part of their history with you, together with the Scenes they made with it.

Shinies are the virtual currency of Penguin World, the game inside MyPengs. You can earn them by playing or buy them in packs at Sammy Bank, and earned and bought Shinies are one balance. Having Shinies gives you a limited, personal, revocable license to use them in MyPengs, and nothing more.

Shinies have no cash value. They cannot be redeemed for money, sold, transferred to another account, or exchanged for anything outside MyPengs. What Shinies buy, and what things cost in Penguin World, can change. Shinies do not expire while your account is open, but deleting your account forfeits any Shinies left on it, earned or bought.

If Shinies reach your balance by mistake, for example through a bug or an error on our side, we may correct your balance.

If you are under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent's or guardian's permission to buy Shinies.

Shinies packs are one-time digital purchases. Each pack's price is shown at Sammy Bank before checkout, in US dollars and before any tax that applies, and prices may change. Card payments are processed by Stripe, and the Shinies are added to your balance once the payment goes through.

If a pack you paid for does not arrive, or delivery is delayed by payment review, an outage, or another operational issue, contact hello@mypengs.com.

Refunds are governed by the Refund Policy. A purchase of Shinies is final once the Shinies are added to your balance, except that we will refund a Shinies purchase in full if you were charged twice by mistake or were charged because of a checkout error and you ask within 14 days of the purchase, and except where the law gives you a right to a refund.

If you paid for a pack whose Shinies were never added to your balance, we will refund that payment in full whenever you ask, with no deadline.

If a payment for Shinies is fully refunded, reversed, or charged back, the Shinies from it are removed from your balance, even if you have already spent them, and your balance may go below zero until it is earned back. If a chargeback is decided in MyPengs' favour, so that your payment stands, those Shinies are given back. If we refund only part of a payment, what happens to its Shinies is decided case by case.

MyPengs sells one-time purchases and does not offer subscriptions. If that changes, renewal and cancellation terms will be presented before checkout. Refund questions can be sent to hello@mypengs.com.

MyPengs changes as we build it. We may add, change, or remove features, such as parts of the quiz, the Diary, or Scenes, at any time.

We may change, suspend, or discontinue Penguin World, Sammy Bank, or Shinies, in whole or in part, at any time. Turning any of them off for a while does not take Shinies off your balance.

If we discontinue Penguin World or Shinies for good, we will try to tell you in MyPengs beforehand. Shinies you bought and have not spent by then are not refunded, except where the law requires a refund, and where it does, we will refund them.

MyPengs no longer offers deep reports. Reports already in your account stay there to read and share for as long as your account is open.

Reports are made available in your account and may also be sent by email. Delivery can be delayed by email filtering, incorrect information, outages, or other operational issues. For help, contact hello@mypengs.com.

Do not misuse MyPengs, interfere with the site, scrape or overload the service, attempt unauthorized access, submit unlawful or harmful content, impersonate others, violate intellectual property rights, or use the service to harass, abuse, or exploit anyone. In the Diary and in Penguin World, that includes using Scenes or the names you give friends to demean, harass, or sexualize a real person, trying to make the AI write harmful content, and using bots, scripts, or bugs to collect Shinies or items.

We may suspend or terminate access if we believe your use violates these terms, creates risk for other users, or could harm MyPengs. To appeal or ask about a restriction, contact hello@mypengs.com.

You keep ownership of what you submit, such as what you type in the Diary or in a Scene's "What happens?", but you give MyPengs permission to use it as needed to provide the service: to write the Diary's replies and your Scenes through our AI provider, keep your Scenes and Diary history, create your reports, maintain accounts, process purchases, and provide support.

Your penguin, and how you dress it in Penguin World, can appear in the worlds of friends who have you in their colony, including in Scenes they make there. Those Scenes are part of their world and stay there, even if you delete your account, and so do gifts you gave a friend that went to their world.

If you share something by link, such as your penguin's page or a card from The Nest, anyone with the link can see it.

The MyPengs name, Penguin World, site design, reports, copy, quiz structure, illustrations, charts, and other product content are owned by MyPengs or its licensors. You may use your reports, and the Scenes and clips you make, for personal, non-commercial use, such as sharing them with friends, but you may not resell, copy, or exploit MyPengs content as a competing product.

MyPengs is provided as is and as available. We do not promise that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, perfectly accurate, or that a result will match how you see yourself. Scenes and the Diary's replies are written by AI, which can get things wrong or say something unexpected, and what an AI character says is not a statement by MyPengs.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, MyPengs will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or business interruption. For support, contact hello@mypengs.com.

We may update these terms as MyPengs changes. The effective date above shows when this version took effect.
